The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity

On 9th January 2011 it was the nineteenth time when WOŚP (The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity) played in Poland. On this day people all over Poland and wherever Polish people live raise money for medical equipment for Polish hospitals. At Polish schools children also raise money - they organise fetes and auctions.

On Sunday 9th January children and young people on Polish streets raised money from people.

In the afternoon and in the evening concerts were organised.

THE SPANISH CONSTITUTION'S BIRTHDAY

The 6th of December we celebrate the Spanish Constitution.
The Spanish Constitution is the supreme rule of legal regulation in the Reign of Spain. The authorieites and the citizens of Spain must follow its rules.
The Spanish Constitution was born on the 6th of December in 1978.

The Right to Education appears in the 27 Article of this Constitution.

These are the children of the 2nd class of Primary Education. They and their teacher María Félix made a big cake to celebrate the Spanish Constitution's birthday.

WE DECORATE CLASSROOMS FOR CHRISTMAS

When Christmas is coming teachers and pupils decorate their classrooms and build a Crib.

This Crib is in the 3rd class of Primary education.

It has been made by the teacher, Inmaculada, and her 23 pupils.

It is made of plasticine and colored paper. It's beautiful.

In this first picutre you can see the Crib with María, San José and baby Jesus.

In this picture, you can see the three Magic Kings, that come to Spain on the 6th of January. They bring presents for all the good children.

Christmas traditions in Polish school

Hi,
The last week before Christmas holiday was very busy at our school in Dzierżoniów in Poland.
On 20th December we organized a Christmas fete with Christmas decorations students made. This event was together with Christmas carols concert for parents.

On Wednesday 22nd December we gathered in the school gym, watched Christmas play and sang Christmas carols.

The crib

The crib is a traditional Italian Christmas symbol.
Did you know that the first news of the birth of Jesus appear in the Gospel of Saint Luke and St. Matthew and the  first crib was made by St. Francis of Assisi in 1223?
  Already ill, St. Francis had taken refuge in the hermitage of Greccio. Fifteen days before Christmas he asked the warden John to prepare a cave in the reconstruction of the Night of the Nativity. On the evening of December 24 farmers of the country flocked to the cave, the monks with torches lit up the night scene and was placed inside the cave a manger filled with straw beside the ox and the donkey. In front of the cave was a mass. Many said they saw the child Jesus really move.

Merry Christmas from Italy

Merry Christmas from pupils of Primary School of Rionero in Vulture.
At Christmas  we use to decorate our school with streamers, placards, and other Christmas decorations. Each year the volunteers of AVIS, dressed as Santa Claus, brings presents to children. We also organize a fundraiser to acquit of panettone,  to help the  volunteers of ATO who care for cancer patients in the hospital of our country. This is our school's lobby decorated for Christmas.

A WORLD OF COLORS, A WORLD FRIEND

A world friend is a nonprofit organization born in Castilla la Mancha. Its main aim is to promote solidarity and social engagements among children.

Every year they come to our school to develop interesting and funny activieties.

Do we know ourselves?

-  First we made two teams. Children went to one team and girls went to the other team.

- After that, we write lists of words to describe our group and the other one.

 1) Words We think they use to descibe our group.

 2) Words We know to describe our group.

 3) Words We use to describe them.

 4) Words We think they use to describe them.

- Finaly we check the answer and we notice that we didn´t know each other as well as we thought.

 This activity was very funny and very usefull to know and respect ourselves.

 We learn a very important thing, the influence of the group.

THE FIRST SNOWFLAKES IN OUR VILLAGE

On the 2nd of December we felt the first snowfall of the autumn-winter in our Village.
Snow is not usually here. So, when we see the first snowflakes falling form the sky we feel really happy and enjoy a a lot playing outside.

The Adventures of Pinocchio By Collodi

Do you know Pinocchio by Carlo Collodi is a novel considered a classic of children's literature and has spawned many derivative works of art, such as Disney's 1940 animated movie of the same name, and commonplace ideas such as a liar's long nos. It tells the story of a strange character who is transformed from puppet through a long process of pranks and punishments in a real boy. 

Citizens are becoming ... with Pinocchio

In 2011 we celebrate the unification of Italy. The preparations  for the 150th anniversary of the unification of Italy were initiated by the President of the Council, which was also institute an Interministerial Committee for the celebrations. Even at school we students have begun to prepare for this event. The students have started a  journey in which through the story of Pinocchio, written by Collodi, address the main themes of Citizenship and the Constitution of Italy, that from a state of dismemberment and subjection similar to the puppet, came to the unification, then the republic and the democracy
