Celebrating World Children's Day

To celebrate World children's Day Class A - 9th grade students, parents and teacher Helena Coelho have baked delicious cupcakes at our school cookery club. Then on the Children's Day they have visited the Special Education Needs Unit for multi disabilities at Lousã Primary School and they have offered the children the cupcakes, balloons, kisses hugs and smiles. 5th and 6th grade students have decorated our school with the help of their Visual Education teachers. A School Trip to the Park of Europe

On May 14th,  the students of 3rd ,4th ,5th and 6th classes went  to a tour to Europe Park located in Torrejon de Ardoz (Madrid). The first thing we did when we arrived was to visit all the monuments and explanations, when we finished the tour, we went to a restaurant to take an ice cream or iced.
We saw a lot of replicas of important monuments in Europe, like the Eiffel Tower in Paris, The Atomiun in Bruselas, The Tower Bridge in London, The Brandenburg door in Berlin, etc.
It was a great trip!!

Bicycle parking

The Mayor of El Toboso accepted a proposal of children in 6th class of Miguel de Cervantes school. We wanted to go to school by bike, so we asked him to install a parking for bicycles.
Now, we can go to school by bike. It's great!

RAFA NADAL WON ROLAND GARROS 2012.

Rafa Nadal, is the  tennis player who represents our country,  Spain. Yesterdau, in June 12th, he won his seventh consecutive Roland Garros . This year there was a great duel, since both tennis players  were very nice. But finally, Rafa Nadal triumphed. The tennis match was played in Paris and was disputed between two big players: Rafa Nadal and Novak Djokovic. The family of Rafa and his friend, Pau Gasol, a basketball player,  gave  him a great embrace. The  tennis player has gained a very well-deserved trophy, He has demonstrated  being the best in many occasions, and  it is going to continue being. We feel very proud of him, and hope that this one is not his last Roland Garros.

OUR TEACHER WENT TO AN E-TWINNING PDW- MATH AND ICT IN LISBON

From the last 31st of May to the 2nd of June, our teacher María Jesús went to an e-twinning Pedagogical development workshop in Lisbon about Maths and ICT. She attended to a Scratch Workshop, to a Robotic Workshop and to a Microsoft tools Workshop.
Se brought us a box with biscuits and  new pedagogical methodology to use in mathematics classes.

I practice modern dance. It is not easy to dance, it takes much effort and hard work. The dancing teacher sometimes teaches us new dances with the difficult steps, and we long to try them. She corrects the errors and we occasionally yells at us when we talk or we're not careful. This year we won two races, we arrive at the third regional championship of the FIDS and the first trophy of the Castles. We have also given a cup to take home as souvenirs. On 9 and 16 June we will make year-end  wise and I'm very excited because we will be performing in front of many people. I love it when, before the race,  we dress with our costumes all shiny and elegant.  I love dance sport more than anything else, because dancing makes me happy, because I'm in the company of my friends and because my whole body has a way to move easily

Earthquake in Italy

A powerful earthquake struck one of the most important regions of Italy, Emilia Romagna, causing deaths, injuries and destruction. According to scholars, this event has caused the uplifting of about 12 cm.

To pay homage to the victims of the earthquake in our school, at the ring of bell, we observed several minutes of silence. From our region, voluntary associations have organized fundraising for the earthquake victims

Flying with Bees

On 30 May, students of the first classes  , participated in a tour to the Dolomite Lucane. In addition to observing the flora and fauna, have spent most of the day in contact with bees. First they donned a special suit and observed the life of bees, then in the laboratory have dealt with the production of honey, and made wax candles

Lousã and EL Toboso get together through video conferencing

On May 16th students and teachers of the Portuguese school Escola Básica nº2 da Lousã and of the Spanish School C.P. Miguel de Cervantes - EL TOBOSO had the opportunity to get in touch by videoconferencing . During the session, we haven’t just talked, but we had a music time, according to the suggestion of teacher María Jesús. The Portuguese students sang “Saias raianas” ( a traditional song from Alentejo), with the help of our Music teacher Maria Otília, and we also listened to our Spanish friends singing in their mother tongue. Then our colleagues from class D, who are learning Spanish read a poem in Spanish, the poem is called “April and Silence”, by the Swedish poet Tomas Tranströmer, Nobel Prize in Literature 2011. We have chosen this poem because it is about spring. In our opinion, this event was very interesting, not only because we could talk in English and Spanish, but also because we had the opportunity to meet our colleagues in the project “Children and Reporters” and we found out that we have similar interests and hobbies, mainly the ones related to football. Our school is participating in another etwinning project called "Goodbye childhood" with other four partners, Italy, France, Turkey and Spain. Our task is very easy, we are going to show our educatial systems and how we spend our free time. At the same time we develop activities to promote a healthy style of life. We have meetings in the chat and in the pupils corner of the twinspace too.

So we have five main task:

1. Make a presentation about your educational system.
2. Show us how you spend your free time, you can use the tool you want.
3. Share with us at least one activity to promote a healty style of life.
4. Meet with us in the twinspace, in the pupils corner or in the chat, etc.
5. You can share your works in this magazine too.

I would like to invite you to participate because it is very easy.

Juve champions Italy

                                                     

      

On May 13, Juventus, with a score of 3-1 against the 'Atalanta, won its 30th league title. Juventus after ten years of waiting, he won with a total score of 84 points, fair field and unbeaten in the League, the coveted title. With this victory, Juventus became Campione d 'Italy.
  Its captain, Alex Del Piero played the last game with this team and greeted all emotional. At the end of the game all the Juve fans celebrated while the players lifted the trophy in victory.

 In Rionero we celebrated with a parade through the streets of the country this victory . Each of us had flags, scarves, hats and banners of Juve.Tutti we sang the hymn of Juventus and we enjoyed it very much. We are happy that Juve won and now we get ready to cheer for the next Championship.

Mother's day

On 13 May, 2012 it's Mother's day in Italy. To celebrate Mother's Day pupils of class II C- D- E have prepared this beautiful song  "Ninna nanna del chicco di cafè" (Lullaby of the grain of coffee) and a certificate to give to Mom

CLUB ATÉLTICO DE MADRID WINS UEFA EUROPA LEAGE

Club Atlético de Madrid won the UEFA Europa Leage yesterday in Bucharest against another spanish team, the Atletic de Bilbao.

The scorer was 3-0.

Fans of Atletico de Madrid are very happy and today they wear the red and white striped T-shirt to celebrate that their team is the best football team all over Europe.

A PRESENT FOR MUM

Mother's day is celebrated on the first Sunday in May in Spain.
Every year pupils of Miguel de Cervantes School make some handcrafts for their mums.
This years, pupils in the 2nd cycle, 3rd and 4th classes, helped by their teachers Belén, Inmaculada and Misi, have made beautiful bracelets for their mums with recycled materials: bottle tops of cokes and ribbons of different colours.
